OttoKit Review 2026: The AI Automation Platform Formerly Known as SureTriggers
OttoKit is Brainstorm Force’s no-code automation platform for WordPress — a visual workflow builder connecting your site to 1,600+ apps, with AI Agents that make decisions inside workflows and an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT. The connector plugin is on WordPress.org (version 1.1.43, updated October 2026, 90,000+ active installs, rated 4.9 out of 5 from 125 ratings). A Free Forever plan includes 250 tasks a month; paid plans are currently one-time lifetime payments, from $499 for Pro.
What it is
OttoKit began life as SureTriggers and was renamed as it grew past plain trigger-and-action plumbing. The WordPress plugin is a connector to the OttoKit cloud platform, where you build workflows on a visual canvas — a trigger (a form submission, a WooCommerce order, a new user, a webhook or a schedule), then steps across the apps you use, with filters, conditions, delays, loops, formatters and branching in between. The vendor counts 1,600+ app integrations plus deep WordPress integrations for WooCommerce, Fluent Forms, LearnDash, BuddyBoss and Elementor, and it also automates between non-WordPress apps.
The AI layer earns it a place in this hub. AI Agents sit inside workflows and make judgment calls — qualifying a lead, choosing the next step, drafting content — rather than only following fixed rules. AI Agent V2 supports OpenAI, Anthropic and Google models with built-in memory, and an MCP server (included on every plan, even Free) connects Claude and ChatGPT to your workflows. Built-in Tables store leads and orders, and Forms feed them. Workflows run in OttoKit’s cloud, not on your hosting.
Key features
- AI Agents inside workflows. An Agent step analyzes what a workflow carries — a lead, an order, a support question — and decides the route, using OpenAI, Anthropic or Google models, with memory in V2.
- Visual builder with real logic. Multi-step workflows with filters, conditions, delays, schedules, loops, formatters, and — on Business and above — Branch, Path and an API module; 350+ ready-made recipes can be imported and customized.
- Tables, Forms and an MCP server. Built-in Tables store workflow data (500 rows free, up to 50,000 on Business Plus), Forms collect submissions into them, and the MCP server is included on all plans.
Pricing
The Free Forever plan costs $0: 250 tasks a month, 20 active workflows, 1 workspace, 500 Table rows, 1 form, 1 WordPress connection, all app integrations and the MCP server — but no AI Agents, and run data is kept only 3 days. Paid plans on the vendor’s current pricing page are one-time lifetime payments: Pro $499 (5,000 tasks/month, 1 workspace, 5 WordPress connections, 15-day retention, AI Agents), Business $799 (10,000 tasks/month, 5 workspaces, unlimited WordPress connections, 30-day retention, Human in the Loop) and Business Plus $1,499 (30,000 tasks/month, unlimited workspaces). A task is one completed action — sending one email is one task — top-ups are available on paid plans, and a 14-day money-back guarantee applies.
What the pricing page doesn’t make obvious: Pro’s plan card advertises “AI Agents · Human-in-Loop” together, but the page’s own comparison table says Human in the Loop is not included in Pro — human approvals start at Business ($799). The same table shows Branch, Path and the API module are also Business-and-above features, and that even paid Pro keeps run data for only 15 days. Check the comparison table, not the plan cards, before you buy.
Who it’s for
- WordPress businesses paying Zapier by the task — deep WordPress triggers, unlimited workflows on paid plans, and lifetime pricing instead of a growing monthly meter.
- Small teams automating leads and orders — an AI Agent that reads a submission, routes it to the CRM and Sheets, stores it in Tables and drafts the first reply.
- Agencies managing client sites — Business and Business Plus add workspaces per client, unlimited WordPress connections and human approval steps for sensitive actions.
What to watch out for
- Its security record demands update discipline. OttoKit/SureTriggers suffered critical privilege-escalation flaws in 2025 (CVE-2025-3102 and CVE-2025-27007, both exploited in the wild) and another critical patch in October 2026, fixed in 1.1.42. Run 1.1.43 or later with auto-updates on.
- The free plan is a taster, not the AI product. 250 tasks a month, no AI Agents, no Delay, Schedule, Filter or Loop steps, and 3-day data retention — serious automations need a paid plan.
- It is a cloud dependency. The plugin only connects your site to OttoKit’s SaaS; if the platform or your account goes away, so do the workflows — unlike self-hosted automators such as Bit Flows, also reviewed on Tested Intelligence.
- Research-based review. This review is based on OttoKit’s WordPress.org listing, the vendor’s own site and pricing page, and public security advisories; we have not run it on a production site ourselves.
Pros
- 90,000+ active installs and a 4.9-star record from the team behind Astra and CartFlows.
- Genuine AI Agents with multi-provider support, plus an MCP server included even on the free plan.
- Lifetime one-time pricing (from $499) instead of per-task monthly subscriptions, with a usable free plan.
Cons
- Repeated critical vulnerabilities in 2025–26, several exploited — updates are mandatory, not optional.
- Human in the Loop, Branch, Path and API module are Business-only ($799), despite Pro’s marketing.
- Short data retention: 3 days free, 15 days on Pro, 30 days at the top.
Frequently asked questions
Is OttoKit the same as SureTriggers?
Yes — OttoKit is the new name for SureTriggers, from Brainstorm Force. The WordPress.org plugin keeps the SureTriggers slug, and existing accounts and automations carry over with nothing to migrate.
Is OttoKit free?
There is a Free Forever plan at $0 with 250 tasks a month, 20 workflows, 1 WordPress connection and the MCP server. AI Agents, delays, schedules and loops require a paid plan, currently sold as one-time lifetime payments: Pro $499, Business $799, Business Plus $1,499.
How is OttoKit priced compared with Zapier?
OttoKit charges a one-time lifetime fee with a monthly task allowance (5,000 on Pro, 10,000 on Business, 30,000 on Business Plus) plus paid top-ups, rather than Zapier’s recurring per-task subscription. The trade-offs: run data is kept 3–30 days by plan, and Human in the Loop approvals require Business or above.
