Nvidia Puts $3 Billion Into Meta — and Will Help Build Its Muse Agent

October 27, 2026 — Nvidia said early Tuesday it will invest $3 billion in Meta’s equity offering and partner to improve its Muse AI agent and Muse models. Why it matters: the chipmaker is now both supplier to and investor in one of its biggest AI customers.

What happened

Nvidia and Meta said they will deepen their partnership on the Muse AI assistant and related models, with Nvidia investing $3 billion in Meta’s equity offering, according to Reuters. Nvidia said the work aims to improve inference and training performance and Muse’s total cost of ownership, and the companies may explore more work on Nvidia’s OpenShell framework, including a tool called Sentry to monitor how AI agents behave.

The offering behind it

Meta increased its equity offering to $97.5 billion, its largest fundraising ever, to accelerate AI infrastructure investment. Meta sold $25 billion of common stock at $625 per share — upsized from $22.5 billion — and $12.5 billion of preferred shares at $50 apiece, with a further at-the-market program of up to $60 billion planned. Meta had earlier said Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom had agreed to buy up to $5 billion in aggregate; Nvidia’s $3 billion is the largest named piece so far.

What Muse is, and why Nvidia is involved

Muse, known internally as Hatch, is central to CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s plan to deliver personal superintelligence to Meta’s billions of users, Reuters reported. Modeled on the open-source agent OpenClaw, Muse can access a user’s email, calendar, payments, health, shopping and smart-home applications, with access revocable at any time. Muse already runs on Nvidia infrastructure.

Why it matters

For subscribers, the practical read is twofold. Direct Nvidia help should make Muse cheaper to run and faster to improve — relevant if you use Meta’s apps. But the money flow is circular, and Reuters noted it adds to concerns about that pattern: chip suppliers help finance a major customer that then spends heavily on chips and data centers. William Blair analysts, quoted by Reuters, said investors will keep questioning the financing and potential for future raises. Everything AI, tested — we will watch whether the Muse gains show up in the product, not just the press release.
