Zillow launched a connector for Anthropic’s Claude on October 19, 2026, putting live home listings, maps, value estimates and affordability tools directly inside the AI assistant — and letting users book a tour or connect with an agent or loan officer without leaving the chat. Why it matters: house hunting is quietly moving into AI assistants, and Zillow is now on all three major ones.

What happened
Zillow announced that a full Zillow experience is now available inside Claude through a connector. After connecting, users can describe what they are looking for in plain language — Zillow’s own examples include three-bedroom homes for sale in Denver under $600,000 with a garage, or apartments for rent in Seattle under $2,500 a month — and get matching listings back in the conversation, with photos, prices, interactive maps, home value estimates and affordability tools attached.
Each listing links back to Zillow, but the conversation does not have to end there: users can request a tour, connect with a real estate agent or explore financing options in the same chat.
The details worth knowing
To set it up, users open Claude, go to Customize, select Connectors and connect Zillow. Zillow says it does not send data to Anthropic — the listing display inside Claude is Zillow’s own MLS-approved presentation, carrying the same broker and MLS attribution used on Zillow.com.
Josh Weisberg, Zillow’s senior vice president of AI, said the connector draws on two decades of housing data and is designed to carry people from information to action: “This connector helps Claude users take the next step through Zillow: a tour, an agent, a loan officer.”
The Claude launch completes a sweep of the major assistants. Zillow’s app has been in ChatGPT since October 2025 — it was the only real estate app on that platform at launch — and Zillow Rentals went live inside Google Gemini in July 2026.
Why it matters
For buyers and renters, the change is practical: instead of filtering through search pages, you describe the home and the budget once and let the assistant do the sorting, then act on the result in the same conversation. For the industry, it is another sign that the front door to real estate is shifting from search websites to AI chat — and that whoever owns the listing data wants to be inside every assistant, not waiting for traffic to come to them. Expect the quality of answers to vary with the freshness of the underlying listings, and note that fair-housing guardrails matter here: Zillow says fair housing reviews by its ethical AI team are part of how it designs and launches these AI features.
